Corey J. Hebert
Corey J. Hebert is a French-speaking Cajun born and raised in Bayou Blue, a small community near Houma, Louisiana. Growing up in the bayous of South Louisiana, Mr. Hebert developed a love and appreciation for the coastal region, its people, and its culture.
Mr. Hebert attended Nicholls State University, graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Government. While living in Houma, Mr. Hebert enrolled in the Southern University Law Center, driving to Baton Rouge to attend the night school while working full-time. Following his first year, he moved to Baton Rouge and attended Southern full-time. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2008, and he was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in October of that same year.
Like many from South Louisiana, Mr. Hebert was born into a large family. Living on the extensive waterways of the Bayou region and in the heart of the Louisiana oil and gas industry, most of his friends and close relatives work offshore, in shipyards, and on the canals that flow through this beautiful state. As a youth, Mr. Hebert spent many days watching the tug boats and barges traversing the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway near his childhood home. He also witnessed first-hand the numerous injuries suffered by the men and women who made their livings in the Admiralty and Maritime professions, which were prevalent in the area. Following his admission to the Louisiana Bar, Mr. Hebert attended Tulane University Law School, where he obtained a post-graduate Master of Laws degree in Admiralty.
Since he has been in practice, Mr. Hebert has, time and again, successfully taken his clients’ cases from beginning to conclusion. He has worked extensively in many areas of Civil litigation, including motor vehicle accidents, maritime personal injuries, product liability, premises liability, and medical malpractice. Mr. Hebert’s experience fighting for his clients has given him a true understanding of the need for all people to have an advocate to protect their rights and to seek justice in the courts.
Away from the office, Mr. Hebert enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. Mr. Hebert also enjoys rock climbing and weightlifting. Mr. Hebert is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and regularly competes throughout the nation.
